INTRODUCTION:
Evaplube is the brand name for our range
of Vanishing Oils. Evaplube fluids are
manufactured under special conditions to
ensure batch-to-batch uniformity and to
eliminate unwanted impurities, such as
aromatics, unsaturated olefins and
reactive polar compounds. The high
degree of purity, combined with the
relative inertness of the saturated
chemical structure, minimizes or
eliminates adverse reactions in
industrial processes and consumer
applications. Evaplube fluids are
manufactured in the U.S., and are
available in Canada, Europe, and Middle
East and around the world.
EVAPLUBE 9860 is a unique, premium
quality, metal forming lubricant
engineered to provide hydrodynamic and
fluid film lubrication for light to
medium forming of ferrous and
non-ferrous metals. Fluid film
lubrication is the lubrication regime in
which through viscous forces the work
piece and the die are separated by the
lubricant and metal to metal contact is
avoided. Hydrodynamic lubrication is a
special form of fluid film lubrication
which occurs when the lubricant is able
to support the load without external
pressure, through hydrodynamic forces
alone, which deform the shape of the
lubricant film separating the die and
the work piece into a wedge shape, so
the externally applied load, exerted by
the tooling can be supported.
EVAPLUBE 9860 formulated with synthetic
hydrocarbons used to formulate
lubricants used with refrigerants,
evaporates completely leaving a residue
free surface. The fluid film lubricity
property insures no metal pick-up
(galling) on the tooling. The
hydrodynamic property allows EVAPLUBE to
provide lubricity for more severe
forming operations than solvent based
vanishing lubricants provide. Depending
on the heat generated in the forming
operation, ambient temperature, air
circulation, and humidity EVAPLUBE 9860
evaporates immediately or within four
hours. The quick evaporation eliminates
cleaning or degreasing prior to plating
painting, welding, assembly, or
shipping.
Typical metal forming operation
performed with EVAPLUBE 9860 are:
blanking, laminating, light to medium
duty stamping and forming on gages up to
0.125, roll forming, radiator tank,
header, and fin forming, perforating,
and tube forming. EVAPLUBE 9860 can be
used on pre-painted metals.
Evap-Lube 9860 is designed for use where a “vanishing Lubricant” is required.
9860 is a premium quality, high performance, clear, low viscosity metal working fluid.
9860 evaporates readily leaving little or no residual
film for optimum cleanliness during metal working operation, while still providing excellent release properties.
9860’s prompt evaporation characteristics results in the manufacture of clean components, which will readily accept welds, allow for adhesion of paint to processed parts and leave virtually no residue to react with other processing chemicals.
9860contains select additives to provide optimum lubricity during metal stamping and forming, resulting in extended die life. The product formulation obtains the important balance of proper lubrication during metalworking, yet “vanishes” from parts in minimal time to avoid delays in the manufacturing process, and minimizing the need for manual cleaning of components.
9860is non-corrosive and non-staining to aluminum, copper, steel and their alloys.
Vanishing oil 9860should be used in stamping operations to keep the tools cool and prevent wear.

High Flash Point
Reduced tool wear and gives excellent
surface finish.
99% plus Volatile. Minimizes manual parts clean up. Easier to remove after forming operation.
Reduction of Fire risk with minimum dry times
APPLICATION :
9860 is designed
primarily for use in light to moderate duty stamping and forming operations of ferrous and aluminum, copper and other non-ferrous metals, while still finding application in some light duty operations with ferrous metals. Its unique ability to provide “thin film” lubrication, then evaporate quickly leaving no residue, makes
9860an excellent choice for applications calling for the use of a “vanishing oil”.
9860can be applied by spraying or roller coating.
9860should always be used as received.
Vanishing oil 9860can be applied by spraying, dipping, brushing, flooding or roller coating methods. Caution should be taken when sprayed to not exceed the permissible exposure limits to oil mist.
Range Of Applications:
For Fin Stamping and Coil Making
heat transfer component fabrication lubricants
Process fluids
TYPICAL USES :
Evap-Lube_9860 Can be used for Laminating ,blanking, light duty forming, radiator tank, header and fin forming, perforating, coining and other operations such as parts assembly where a residue free surface is required. Vanishing lubricant EvalplUBE_9860 can also be used on pre-coated stock.
Evap-Lube_9860 is used as received.
Note:
9860should be stored at temperatures between 65°F and 90°F to preserve its integrity. However, if residue on parts is going to be further dried in an oven, operating temperatures should be kept below 250°F to avoid decomposition.
EVAPLUBE 9860 is
used as supplied. It is stored in a clean, dry
area away from open flames, extreme heat, and
strong oxidizing agents at temperatures between
65 and 90 F. Mechanical ventilation should be
used.
If formed parts are going to be further dried in
an oven, the oven temperatures should be kept
below 250 F.
Caution: Product contains solvent. Use mechanical ventilation and guard against open flames or other ignition sources.

TESTIMONIAL :
"Hello Walter, I would like to get some of this product to try. I have a job coming up that with about 14,000 lineal feet of bare galvanized. I need to get enough to do that at least. Thanks Craig"
"We used about 20 gallons on coils we ran, the product worked great. Thanks for your help, we'll order more from you in the future Thanks Craig"
